Rare Lionel Scout

This is a rare Lionel Scout engine. Scout's were the most common (and cheap) engines made by Lionel in the mid to late 60's. Most were made of plastic, however a few were made of metal as this one is. It is quite a rare post-war train. I found a mid 70's Lionel train set on the top shelf of a Goodwill. I bought it, mostly because I love toy trains, and thought I would sell for $30. I noticed that there were two engines and that this one did not belong. So I bought the box for $7. The 70's trains in the box fetched a whopping $15 while this extra engine and tender sold for $510.00
